 Batteries
The batteries in your alarm control panel should be checked about every 2 years. If you have a commercial fire alarm the fire code requires that your batteries be replaced every 2 years.
 Test your smoke sensors
Weather your smoke sensors are part of your alarm system or not you are required to test them no less than once per year. If you own a commercial fire alarm they must be tested and documented by factory trained or certified personnel.
